I got this from a friend of ours. My family liked them, so she shared the recipe with me. This yields about 4 pints.
2 lbs green beans
1/4 cup canning salt (I use regular salt)
2 1/2 cups vinegar
2 1/2 cups water
1 tsp. cayenne pepper, divided
4 cloves garlic
4 heads of dill
Trim ends off green beans. You can leave whole, or break into 1 inch pieces. Pack beans into sterilized jars. To each jar, add 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1 garlic clove, and 1 head of dill.
Combine salt, vinegar, and water in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Pour over beans leaving a 1/2 inch head space. Process 10 minutes in water bath canner.
